Karen Cox

Karen loves trees and loves to share her enthusiasm with others. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Forest Resources Management from WVU and her Master's Degree in Forestry from Purdue University. As a life long student she is also working towards her Arborist Certification.

As a WVU Extension Educator in Agriculture and Natural Resources, she spends her time helping people learn how to take care of and improve their farms, gardens, and trees. One of her many projects includes a weekly podcast called, Extension Calling. Her most recent role as the Chair of the Wheeling Tree Board has brought her closer to communities as they work to improve their green-spaces.
