Glynis Board
Glynis Board once got lost in the Bermuda Triangle but lived to tell the tale. Now this land-loving Marshall County native is the Director of Operations at Grow Ohio Valley—a nonprofit committed to improving community health and wellbeing throughout the valley through food. A masters in education and a storied career as a journalist prepared her to surf public health, education, and agrarian-development waters of Wheeling, West Virginia. She loves piano, mandolin and songwriting and comes from a long line of Welsh coal miners and today, a family rich in strong female matriarchs. She’s blissfully married with three kids, living in a Victorian brownstone in downtown Wheeling. She loves her neighborhood, complete with French bakeries, love-infused youth centers, urban farm, and the trusty Ohio River.
